Nardinocchi/Matcovich

The Nardinocchi/Matcovich company was founded in 2020, when Laura and Niccolò began working together on the show Arturo, winner of the 2020 Scenario Infanzia Award, a finalist for the 2021 In-Box Award, winner of the Critics' Award at FringeMI 2022, winner of the Direction Under 30 2022 Jury Award and winner of the Life is Live competition – a project by Smart and Fondazione Cariplo.

Arturo has toured more than 120 dates throughout Italy, visiting major theatres and national festivals.

Thanks to this first encounter, Laura and Niccolò seek to lay the foundations for the creation of a poetics, which they intend to pursue and continue to develop: a theatre that aims to be an event rather than a show; where there is no fiction and one goes beyond representation; where there is a “punctured”, fragmented and not entirely defined dramaturgy; where spectators interact and are part of what is happening; a theatre of proximity, which aims to be present in things and in a thought that can then continue to generate reflections in the minds of those who participate in the event.

In 2023, the company, together with RuotaLibera Teatro, produced the show Pìnolo, dedicated to children aged 6 and above.

In 2024, the company debuted with the show Strada Maestra - born from the Terramadre research project - finalist in the 2022 Risonanze Award, winner of the Verdecoprente Terr competition. A 2022, winner of the Bando Cura 2023, winner of the Bando OFFline organised by Ferrara OFF 2023, winner of the Bando Life is Live - a project by Smart and Fondazione Cariplo.

In 2025, the company was among the five finalists in the Registi Under 30 -Biennale College Teatro competition, with the project Dittico della deriva, directed by Laura Nardinocchi and written by Niccolò Matcovich.
