Scena Madre

ScenaMadre is a professional theatre company.

In our town – Chiavari in Italy, by the sea and with the mountains just behind – we run our theatre workshops for children, teenagers and adults.

We take our theatre plays, performances and artistic project wandering around on tour in Italy and abroad.

A culturally inclusive theatre company in terms of age, education and social background. We create theatre performances that tells a story and leaves something behind for everyone, despite differences in age or culture.

ScenaMadre is Marta Abate e Michelangelo Frola. We are the two people in the photo, because they say you have to put at least one photo in your bio. But we always prefer to write or be behind the scenes, not on stage.

And hope that our work speaks for us.
