The founders, Marco Vergati and Chiara Carlorosi, trained at theatre schools, collaborated with various organisations and theatre companies (in particular with Teatropersona and Teatro dei Venti), attended seminars with Italian and European theatre masters (such as Yves Lebreton, Cesar Brie, Roberta Carreri, Jaroslav Fret, Mario Barzaghi, Francis Pardeilhan, Claudia Contin), and have been working with young people since 1999. Since then, they have continued their pedagogical research, which over the years has led them to broaden their experiences to the point of combining their paths and founding the Associazione Teatro di Carta in 2009 with the aim of promoting artistic activities for children and young people, and in 2013 the Ombre Bianche Teatro company, which carries out scenic research into the various facets of theatre, from physical work on the actor to puppet theatre, in particular shadow theatre. “Il Libro delle Ombre” (2014), a show combining actor theatre and shadow theatre, is the company's debut work and comes at the end of a two-year journey. In January 2016, the new show, “Storia del Regno Perduto”, debuted.
