SCHIAFFO is a bold and irreverent Manual Theatre performance — theatre made by hand by Jacopo Tealdi #quellodellemani — a stand-up comedy show performed entirely with HANDS.

What would our hands say if they could speak? What are they forced to do every day, perhaps against their own will? Why can’t human beings understand the basic laws of common sense? Are there mantras in the Italian language that can help us live better? Why do we come into this world this way, and why do we keep thinking badly all the time?

The answers to these questions have the sound a hand makes when it meets morality: a resounding SLAP!

The performance is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Professor “Luis Daimon” teams up with the owner of the theatre, “Mr Piccolino”, a naive and innocent character, completely devoid of malice. Without his knowledge, the professor organises a scandalous talk-cabaret, inviting a series of provocative guests, including the fascinating and sensual “Lady Wanda”!

The topics explored!? Disgust, poop, squirting, childbirth, heartbreak, sex and dating apps, before concluding with a collective, Dionysian ritual making use of the most powerful mantras in the Italian language!

Caught up in the logic of the arguments, the audience will embark on a cathartic experience, falling hopelessly in love with all the characters of SCHIAFFO!!!
